double trouble

I have had the honor of photographing these twins not once, not twice, but three times. The first time they were still inside Amanda's belly. One of the things I love so much about being a photographer are the relationships I get to develop with my subjects. Larry, Amanda and I have had some fun times together. Our first session included an insanely unfortunate mosquito attack that left Larry with a big red welt on the side of his forehead and a mad dash away from train tracks at the sound of the approaching whistle. Our next session was a pee and poop fiasco as we tried to photograph naked babies who were just a few weeks old. As they say, the third time's the charm. I think we finally managed a fiasco-free session :)

I've learned that Larry's quite the artistic director and has lots of good ideas for poses. He likes action shots. Amanda is always for just about anything. (Except for swarms of mosquitoes.) Well, you guys are so great to keep asking me to photograph your precious family. I've loved every minute of it! Here's a long-awaited, but-not-forgotten little bit 'o blog-love for your family.

little miss sunshine

I met Little Miss Sunshine for the first time last week, just before she turned the BIG "1". She's my friend Mel's daughter and she is quite the flirt! Even after her long three-hour car ride to come visit me and get her photos taken, she was all smiles. I don't know about you, but I'm usually not so perky after I've been stuck in the car for three hours. But, Mel has always liked to drive around, so maybe she gets it from her mommma!

And, it's fitting that I'd be posting this little peek today, because today is Mel's birthday. Happy Birthday, friend! So good to hang out with you. We really need to do that more often. Love you both!
xoxo Kristina

together again

12 days is the longest we've ever been apart from the girls. It felt like a really long time. Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder. So good to see them again! We love you, little munchkins!

Love,
Mom and Dad
